Raja Abdullah is the prince of Raja Bahar. His was married to his cousin Puteri Saadong, the princess to Raja Loyor by Paduka Cik Siti Wan Kembang. The marriage was set to avoid trouble by Raja Siam who also had the desire to make Puteri Saadong as his wife.

After the ceremony, Paduka Cik Siti Wan Kembang  crowned Raja Abdullah to rule Kota Tegayung. The marriage also indirectly ended the historic rule in Jembal. Later, Cik Siti Wan Kembang left Kota Tegayung. The new city was named Kota Jelasin (now Kampung Kota, Kota Bharu). Kota Jelasin was later handed over to Raja Abdullah and Puteri Saadong.

Raja Abdullah and Puteri Saadong rules was not based in Jembal but in Kota Jelasin. Most likely, the rule by Raja Abdullah encompassed the ruling of the Jembal government. This assumption was based on the condition of Jembal which did not have any ruler after Raja Loyor death in 1663.

Raja Abdullah passed away in 1671. His Highness was said to have been stabbed by his wife, Princess Saadong with a ‘sanggul’ or hairpin, in a quarrel at Kota Mahligai. The fight was caused Raja Abdullah who was not faithful to his promise.
